How to Write Minimalist Image Prompts - Nano Banana 2

The word “minimalist” alone rarely does it. You get a simplified image, still with a textured background, a soft gradient, some incidental objects and a bit of atmospheric haze.

The most effective clause is a number. One object, centred, nothing else in frame. Two shapes on an empty background. Three colours. Numbers are unambiguous in a way that “simple” and “clean” are not, and they give the model a target it can visibly hit or miss.

Minimalist work almost always runs on a tiny palette, and stating it is the fastest route to the look. Two colours. Black on off-white. A single accent colour on grey. Monochrome with one warm highlight.

Restricting colour also does something useful beyond the palette itself: it forces simplification everywhere else. A model that cannot use many colours cannot render complicated shading, so forms flatten and detail drops out on its own.
